Sohail Khan’s painful revelation, says ‘he was sexually abused in childhood’

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sohail Khan revealed the most painful truth of his life to the world in an interview. He told that he was sexually abused in his childhood. After keeping this secret in his mind for years, he now mustered up the courage to tell it to everyone.

"I hid this for years"

During a conversation in a reality show, Sohail said that someone sexually abused him when he was young. But due to fear and shame he could not tell anything to anyone at that time.

Sohail told that after growing up, he gathered courage and told this to his father. The father was surprised and asked – "Why did you hide for so many years?"

On this Sohail said – "I felt very embarrassed. At that age, I felt that perhaps it was my fault, even though it was not mine."

We give these lessons to our sons

Sohail has two sons – Nirvaan and Yohan. After the accident that happened to him, he always explains the same thing to his children. He said – "I am completely against ragging and bullying. I always tell my sons that if someone bothers you, scares you or makes you feel uncomfortable, don’t hide it from me. Come immediately and tell me." The actor believes that if the children remain silent then the pain increases further. That’s why they want their children to share everything openly with the family.

There was emotional in the show

Hearing this from Sohail, the other contestants present in the show also became emotional. Everyone hugged him and praised his bravery. Many people said that it is not easy to talk openly on such a big issue.

Talk on divorce and co-parenting also

In the same show, Sohail also talked about divorce from his ex-wife Seema Sajdeh. The couple separated in 2022 after 24 years of marriage. Sohail admitted that it was his own fault in the breakup of the relationship.

However, even after separation, both are raising their sons together. Sohail says that he will always work as a team for the children. This revelation by Sohail once again reminds us how important it is to talk about child abuse. Remaining silent due to shame leads to further problems.
