Frankfurt’s board member for sport Markus Krösche said: “Raphael Onyedika has not only impressed us with his physicality and strategic understanding of the game, but above all with his extraordinary consistency. At 25, he still has great potential and is an important building block in terms of the structure of our squad.”
Onyedika joined Brugge in 2022 from Danish side Midttjylland and instantly established himself as the side’s first-choice defensive midfielder. In the four years since, he has become a two-time Belgian Jupiter Pro League champion, and racked up 24 appearances in the UEFA Champions League.
