IND vs ENG: 4, 4, 4, 6… Jasprit Bumrah dominated not with the ball but with the bat, played a brilliant innings in the end

After a good start in the second ODI, the Indian team suddenly got into trouble. Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli gave a good start, but as soon as they were out, there was a flurry of wickets. Ishan Kishan, Washington Sundar, Akshar Patel and Shivam Dubey returned to the pavilion cheaply. At one time it seemed that India would not be able to reach even 220 runs. But this was possible thanks to Bumrah. Jasprit Bumrah came on the field as the last batsman and batted freely without any pressure.
Bumrah scored unbeaten 20 runs in just 13 balls. His innings included three fours and a brilliant six. He showed that when needed, he can make important contributions to the team with the bat also. Saqib Mahmood was bowling the last over of the innings. Bumrah hit a four on the very first ball. After this he hit another four, then hit the third consecutive four and hit a six on the last ball while playing a strong pull shot. He scored a total of 18 runs from this over.

Small innings, but big impact

Thanks to this fast innings of Bumrah, India reached 230 runs in 42.6 overs. If he had not scored fast runs in the end, the team’s score could have remained around 210-215. Although Joffra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Sam Curran and Saqib Mahmood did not let India reach a big score by bowling brilliantly, but Bumrah proved with his fearless batting that he has the power to change the course of the match not only with the ball but also with the bat.

Shreyas Iyer scored 66 runs

Shreyas Iyer once again did the job of handling India’s innings in difficult times. He scored 66 runs in 71 balls, which included five fours and two brilliant sixes. His important partnership with Virat Kohli put India in a strong position, but as soon as he was out, the Indian batting faltered. India could score 230-10 runs.
