New Delhi, August 2. A violent altercation occurred in the national capital on Sunday during a press conference by independent Purnea MP Pappu Yadav. According to media reports, an attempt was made to attack the MP with a knife. However, the attacker has been taken into custody and is being questioned.
“I will not be afraid. If anyone wants to kill me , let them kill me .”
Pappu Yadav claimed, “Someone entered my house and attacked me. Can’t people even come to meet us now? He came with a knife to kill me. Babas are saying every day, kill me, burn me, we will give you 51 lakh rupees. We caught him and handed him over to the police. A conspiracy was hatched to kill me, but I survived. I have already filed several FIRs. My lawyer is also present here. I will not be afraid. If anyone wants to kill me, let them kill me.”
A supporter of Pappu Yadav said, “Pappu Yadav is a people’s leader. He serves the public 24 hours a day. He was the attacker. As soon as he pulled out a knife from behind, we all caught him.” The attacker has been taken into police custody.
” Where did the 200 kilograms of gold and silver go ? These are important questions .”
MP Pappu Yadav said, “I was surrounded by the public. All the media members were present, and the discussion was underway, and this happened. There’s a conspiracy to kill me. Many gurus are talking about burning me to death. If so many people hadn’t been there, I would have been finished today. My family members were also harassed last night. I didn’t say anything. Where did the 200 kilograms of gold and silver go? These are important questions.”
He said, “The Delhi Police is quite capable. I have been asking for security for a long time. Many babas are talking about killing me. Would any sadhu say such things? What sin have I committed?”
Pappu Yadav’s lawyer accuses Delhi Police of hatching a conspiracy.
Pappu Yadav’s lawyer said, “Today’s incident is highly condemnable. It demonstrates the failure of the Delhi Police. The Delhi Police’s conspiracy reveals how it is collaborating with the ruling party in a conspiracy against a six-time elected MP. Call it a police failure, a coincidence, or what? For the past two days, we have been continuously complaining about the kind of conspiracy being hatched against a six-time elected MP. Tweets are being openly posted against him on Twitter.”
Saints have filed a case against Rahul Gandhi , Pappu Yadav and Awadhesh Prasad in Varanasi.
It is noteworthy that a day earlier, based on a complaint filed by Jagadguru Balak Devacharya, the head of the Patalpuri Math, Narharipura in Varanasi, a case was filed against Rahul Gandhi, Pappu Yadav, and Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad for protesting in Parliament. The allegation is that during the protest, religious sentiments were hurt by the symbolic use of Hindu saint tradition and donations for the Ram Temple.
Saints express anger over political demonstration in Parliament premises
Jagadguru Balak Devacharya filed a complaint with the Kotwali police station, demanding the registration of an FIR regarding a political demonstration held in the Parliament complex. The application alleged that during a public political demonstration held in the Parliament complex on July 31, 2026, the religious sentiments of millions of Hindus were hurt by the symbolic and dramatic display of Hindu saint tradition, the Lord Shri Ram Temple, and sacred donations made by devotees.
The complaint, naming Rahul Gandhi, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, and Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad, alleges that saffron robes and the images of Hindu saints were used for political purposes during the protest, and that donations made by devotees at the Lord Shri Ram temple were made the subject of the protest. This publicly ridiculed Hindu faith, saintly traditions, and religious symbols, and raised the possibility of spreading religious tension and animosity in society.
