Ingredients to make Tomato Chaat
- Ripe tomatoes – 4 (chopped)
- Boiled potatoes – 2
- Desi ghee – 2 tbsp
- Asafoetida – a pinch
- Ginger (grated) – 1 tsp
- Green chilli – 1
- Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Black salt – as per taste
- Salt – as per taste
- Sweet Tamarind Chutney – 2 tbsp
- Green coriander – for decoration
- finely chopped sev or powder

How to make Tomato Chaat
To make tomato chaat, first heat desi ghee in a pan. When the ghee becomes hot, add asafoetida, ginger and green chillies and fry lightly. When the spices are roasted, now mix tomatoes in it and cook it continuously. Cook it until the tomatoes are completely cooked. After tomatoes melt, add boiled potatoes to it. After mixing it, add roasted cumin, red chilli, black salt, common salt and tamarind chutney and stir. Now cook this chaat for at least 7-8 minutes. This will mix the spices completely. After it is cooked, take it out in a bowl. After taking out the chaat in the kulhad, add green coriander and finely chopped sev over it. This will increase its taste manifold.
