Shetkari Karjmafi : Govt’s new date for loan waiver; New update from Agriculture Minister Bharan

Shetkari Karjmafi: The Maharashtra government has decided to waive the farmers’ loans. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis himself gave this good news to the farmers while speaking in the Assembly. Earlier, it was said that farmers’ loans will be waived till July 5. But even after June 16, farmers’ loans have not been waived. Due to this, while there is an atmosphere of despair among the farmers across the state, now Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharne has announced a new date for loan waiver.

Dattatraya Bharne has informed that the loan waiver of farmers in the state will be done on or before July 30. Dattatraya Bharne said that the loan waiver process has been delayed due to the changes made by the government in the loan waiver criteria. Shetkari Karjmafi

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has discussed the issue of farmer loan waiver with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Necessary permission has been obtained in that regard and the list of beneficiaries will be announced soon. Meanwhile, two important terms of the Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Farmer Debt Relief Scheme have been cancelled. The first condition is that the beneficiaries of the Mahatma Phule Farmers Loan Waiver Scheme 2019 have been announced to waive their loans up to two lakh rupees instead of Rs 50,000. Another thing is that the government has also decided to cancel the condition of regular loan repayment in 2026-27. Due to this decision of the government, lakhs of farmers are going to benefit greatly.
