Another Jolt To Mamata Banerjee: West Bengal CM Shubhendu Adhikari gave another jolt to Mamata Banerjee, formed a commission to investigate this matter.
Kolkata. After losing the West Bengal Assembly elections, new difficulties are arising every day for TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee and her MP nephew Abhishek Banerjee. Now on the instructions of West Bengal CM Subhendu Adhikari, the West Bengal government has decided to form an inquiry commission under the chairmanship of retired Justice Vishwajit Basu. This inquiry commission will investigate the allegations of corruption during the rule of Mamata Banerjee from 2011 to 2026. If the Commission finds evidence of corruption, it will create more problems for Mamata Banerjee.

According to the notification issued by West Bengal Home Secretary Sanghamitra Ghosh, apart from Justice Vishwajit Basu, the commission to investigate corruption cases during the TMC regime will also include an IPS, an officer of the State Administrative Service and an officer of the West Bengal Revenue Department. The notification states that this commission will investigate corruption and bribery in all the schemes including mid-day meal, 100 days work scheme, PM Awas Yojana and rehabilitation of people affected by cyclone Amphan. The Commission will also investigate other such cases including arrest on false charges and illegal construction.

During the West Bengal Assembly elections, BJP leaders including PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah had said during the campaign that if the government is formed, the corruption that happened during Mamata Banerjee’s rule will be investigated. Under the same promise, this inquiry commission has been set up. Apart from this, the Subhendu Adhikari government has also decided to bring a white paper on the irregularities that happened during the TMC rule. This white paper can be presented in the next session of the West Bengal Assembly. Shubhendu Adhikari has announced many times that he will bring out the truth of the allegations against Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee. On the orders of Shubhendu, dozens of TMC leaders and workers involved in the corruption case have also been arrested.
