Gonharidipa’s long-standing demand for a road has been fulfilled, with a road construction project worth Rs 4.22 crore approved.

Raigarh: In a big gift for the villagers of the area, administrative approval has been given for the construction of a 3 kilometer road in Gondhridipa village of Kondatarai.

This demand had been raised by the villagers for a long time, which has now been approved due to the efforts of Chhattisgarh Government’s Finance Minister and Raigarh MLA O.P. Choudhary.

According to reports, the villagers presented their demand for road construction to Finance Minister Chaudhary on June 1, 2026. Prioritizing public interest, administrative approval was granted for this much-awaited project within just two months.

Under the approved project, a total of 3 kilometers of road will be constructed, including 2 kilometers of CC road and 1 kilometer of asphalt (BT road). The total approved cost of this work has been set at ₹4 crore 22 lakh 15 thousand.

Construction work will begin after the tender process is completed. The road will provide better and safer transportation throughout the year for the people of Gonhridipa and surrounding villages. It is expected that the villagers will be relieved of the problems they face, especially during the rainy season.
