FIH Womens Hockey World Cup 2026

Hockey India on Friday announced the 20-member Indian squad for the FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup 2026 to be held in Belgium and the Netherlands. Experienced midfielder Salima Tete has been given the captaincy of the team. Head coach Sjord Marijan has described the selected team as a balanced mix of experience and young players.

The Women’s Hockey World Cup will be held from 15 to 30 August 2026, jointly hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands. The Indian team is currently busy in preparations in the national camp in Bengaluru.

Trust in Nations Cup winning team

The Indian team performed brilliantly in the FIH Nations Cup held in New Zealand last month and won the title while remaining undefeated. Many players impressed by the same performance have been included in the team selected for the World Cup.
