Separate queue system will be implemented for Speedydarshanam coupon holders during Shravani Mela 2026 at Baba Baidyanath Dham, Deoghar. This arrangement, which will start from July 30, will save the time of the devotees and the darshan process will be more organized.
Deoghar: The Speedydarshanam coupon holders coming to Baba Baidyanath Dham during Shravani Mela 2026 are going to get a big relief. The temple administration has prepared a separate dedicated route and queue system for them, so that the devotees can get the benefit of darshan in less time without the usual crowd of queues.
Separate dedicated route will be made for Speedydarshanam devotees
Keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees during this year’s Shravani Fair in Baba Baidyanath Dham, the temple administration has decided to implement a new system. A separate dedicated queue system will be implemented for Speedydarshanam coupon holders with the fair commencing from July 30. The purpose of this new system is to make the darshan process more systematic and save the time of the devotees. The administration claims that this will save about half an hour for the coupon holders to reach the temple.
Every year lakhs of devotees avail the benefit of Speedy Darshanam facility.
Every year a large number of devotees offer prayers at Baba Baidyanath Dham through Speedyadarshanam coupon. On an average, more than 14 lakh devotees use this facility throughout the year, while only during the Shravani Mela, around 1.25 lakh devotees visit with the Speedyadarshanam coupon.
On normal days, a fee of Rs 300 is charged for this facility, while during Shravani Mela its fee has been fixed at Rs 600. Till now, the queues for Speedy Darshanam and General Darshan used to meet at one place before the main gate, due to which coupon holders also had to proceed along with the normal line and took additional time.
Crowd will be controlled with new system, time will also be saved
Under the new arrangement, devotees doing general darshan will proceed on the prescribed route from Sanskar Mandap through the new footover bridge. At the same time, a separate route has been prepared for the Speedy Darshanam coupon holders from the administrative building, holding point and eastern direction, through which they will be able to reach Feel Paya directly.
After this, both the queues will meet at a designated place near the Feel Paya and from there they will enter the sanctum sanctorum via the main gate, the middle section. This will reduce the crowd pressure and the movement of both categories of devotees will be more smooth.
The trial of the new system will take place from July 20.
The temple administration has also prepared the necessary basic facilities to make the new system successful. The new footover bridge is ready and its trial will be started from July 20. The movement of devotees, security arrangements and crowd management will be reviewed during the trial.
The administration believes that after the implementation of the new system, devotees will get more convenient and organized darshan facilities during the Shravani Mela than before. Also, due to improvement in crowd management, the situation of chaos in the temple premises will also reduce to a great extent.
