Delhi Police said, “As per the order of Delhi High Court and the advice of expert doctors, in view of the continuously deteriorating health of Sonam Wangchuk, she has been admitted to the hospital for necessary treatment.”

Police said that while following the High Court order, some protesters tried to disrupt the proceedings, leading to a brief ruckus. However, the police exercised restraint in the entire matter and completed the operation safely. Delhi Police also appealed to the protesters present at Jantar Mantar to vacate the protest site peacefully as soon as possible.
