Inspector’s dead body inside the car, liquor bottles nearby, suspicion deepens over death

An incident came to light on Friday evening in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, which shocked the entire police department. There was a sensation when the body of Sub-Inspector Ajay Thakur (36), posted at Sarvodaya Nagar outpost of Ghazipur police station, was found inside his car under suspicious circumstances. The car was found parked on the roadside in front of Janpad Plaza on Mohan Road.

As soon as the information was received, Para police station, Ghazipur police station and senior officers reached the spot. The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. A forensic team has been deployed to investigate the real cause of death. At present the police are not ruling out any possibility.

The car was parked in a suspicious condition, dead body was found as soon as the door was opened.

According to the information, the police had received information about a car parked in a suspicious condition on Mohan Road for a long time. When the police team that reached the spot opened the door of the car, sub-inspector Ajay Thakur was found dead inside. After this, the entire area was surrounded and the incident site was inspected closely. Forensic experts collected important evidence from inside and around the car, while the vehicle was sealed and taken into custody for investigation.

Mystery increases after liquor bottles were found inside the car

 

During the investigation, the police also found liquor bottles inside the car. However, officials say that no conclusion can be reached merely on the basis of finding liquor bottles. It is being ascertained whether the sub-inspector was alone before the incident or someone else was also present with him. Besides, it is also being investigated whether alcohol consumption is related to the cause of death or not. ACP Shakeel Ahmed said that prima facie the cause of death could not be clear. The real reason will be revealed only after receiving the post mortem report, viscera examination and forensic report. Police will take further action based on scientific evidence and no possibility is being ignored.

Suicide, accident or conspiracy? investigate every aspect

Para police station is investigating all possible aspects in this case including suicide, accidental death, health related reasons and any criminal conspiracy. Call details of the deceased’s mobile phone, last location, activities throughout the day and footage of CCTV cameras installed around the incident site are also being scrutinized. Police are also trying to find out how long the car was standing there and who saw it first.

Information to the family, mourning in the police department

As soon as information about the incident was received, Ajay Thakur’s family members were informed. There is a wave of mourning in the police department due to the death of an on-duty sub-inspector under such suspicious circumstances. Senior officials have given instructions for an impartial and thorough investigation into the matter. Police officials say that it is too early to draw any conclusions. The actual cause of death will be revealed only on the basis of post-mortem report, forensic investigation, viscera report and other technical evidence. At present, this case has become one of the most talked about incidents of the capital and the police is investigating it thoroughly from every angle.
