UP Cashless Health Scheme:- Uttar Pradesh government has launched Mukhyamantri Shikshak Cashless Medical Facility Scheme for teachers and education department employees. Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries and their families will get cashless treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh in listed government and private hospitals. The annual premium of ₹3,000 per teacher will be fully borne by the government, so employees will not have to pay a single penny from their own pocket.
About 15 lakh teachers and education department employees will benefit from this scheme. Documents like Aadhar card, bank details, employee ID and family information are required for the application. One has to apply online on the digital portal of SACHIS agency and after verification, e-KYC and cashless medical card will be issued.

How much will you get and where will you get treatment?
Under this scheme, cashless medical cover of up to Rs 5 lakh per family will be available annually. This facility will be available in empaneled government and private hospitals. The scheme includes around 1,900 treatment packages, covering common ailments to serious illnesses. These include treatments for heart disease, cancer, kidney disease, complex surgeries and many more. This facility will be available only if the patient is hospitalized (IPD). OPD (ordinary treatment without admission) does not come under its purview.
Will the government pay the full premium?
Yes, the best thing about this scheme is that the employees do not have to pay a single penny for it. The government will fully bear the annual premium of ₹3,000 per teacher. That means no premium will be charged from the employees. The government is estimated to spend approximately ₹447 crore to ₹448 crore annually on this scheme. This scheme will be operated through SACHIS (State Agency for Comprehensive Health and Integrated Services).
How to apply online? Step-by-step guide
If you want to take advantage of this scheme, you will have to apply online. You can apply for the scheme even sitting at home. For this follow these steps:
First of all go to the official portal of the scheme cmtcts.upsdc.gov.in.
There select the option of ‘Online Registration’ or ‘Apply Online’.
Login through OTP from your registered mobile number.
Then fill the information about yourself and your family members in the application form. This includes office, personal details and Aadhaar related information.
After this upload all the necessary documents.

What to do after application?
After submitting the form the process progresses:
Scrutiny of Documents: The concerned department will scrutinize your documents. BEO and BSA for basic education, Principal and DIOS for secondary education will do this investigation.
e-KYC: After completion of investigation, you will have to get e-KYC done through Ayushman App.
Cashless Medical Card: After this the beneficiaries will be able to download their cashless medical card. With this card, the process of identification, cashless admission and claims in the hospital will be easy.

When to register?
The Chief Minister formally launched this scheme on 8 July 2026. All eligible teachers and employees will have to complete the registration process for themselves and their families by 6 September 2026, so that the verification can be completed.

E-Nomination: MoU has been signed with SBI under this scheme. In case of an accident, along with the insurance amount, the family will also get separate financial assistance for children’s education and daughters’ marriage.
Accident Insurance: Contract employees (whose salary is more than ₹ 10,000) will also get personal accident insurance ranging from ₹ 30 lakh to ₹ 80 lakh.
Cooks and contract employees: Cooks and contract employees earning less than ₹10,000 will get accident insurance of ₹2 lakh by opening a zero-balance account with SBI.
