As per the established procedures, the girl will be presented before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) to ensure further action for her safe rehabilitation.
Umashankar Singh, Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, stated that the department’s policy is completely zero-tolerance when it comes to human trafficking. He has issued clear instructions to all districts in the state to ensure immediate action upon receiving information about such a case. Furthermore, the District Social Welfare Officer and District Child Protection Officer of the respective districts have been directed to form a joint team and send it to New Delhi, if necessary, so that the affected children and women can be safely rescued and rehabilitated in their home districts.
