India’s Got Latent 2 Contestant Sakshi Jha Faces Backlash Over ‘Man-Hater’ Remarks, Gets Zero From Judges
The third episode of India’s Got Latent Season 2 has sparked a fresh controversy after contestant Sakshi Jha drew criticism for remarks about men during her audition. A teacher and social media creator from Bihar, Sakshi introduced herself as a “man-hater” and made several provocative comments that quickly went viral, triggering widespread debate online.
The latest episode of Samay Raina’s comedy talent show premiered on Netflix on Friday, featuring a new lineup of contestants. However, Sakshi’s act soon became the biggest talking point of the episode after she openly declared her dislike for men and described her life goal as “pati ko daaru pi ke marna hai” (to beat her husband after drinking). Her comments were met with stunned reactions from both the judging panel and viewers.
Beginning her performance, Sakshi introduced herself by saying she was a “man-hater” and claimed she enjoyed hurting men’s egos. She went on to speak about what she described as “generational trauma,” arguing that being a woman in today’s world was itself traumatic. During her set, she also remarked that she hated men in general, while adding that her resentment extended to her father, brother and grandfather.
Her comments, however, failed to impress the judges. Host Samay Raina, along with judges Tanmay Bhat, Vishal Dadlani, Raghu Ram and Yashraj Mehra, unanimously awarded her zero points, making Sakshi the first contestant in the second season to receive a clean sweep of zeros from the panel.

During the interaction, Samay asked Sakshi what had led to such strong opinions about men. She replied that her views were shaped by generational trauma. Tanmay Bhat also questioned her about her relationship with her father. In response, Sakshi reiterated that she disliked him as well because he was a man, adding that she also had strained relations with her grandfather and brother.
As the conversation continued, Samay remarked that while her act was entertaining, he disagreed with her views, before giving her a score of zero. The comedian later turned to the audience and asked them to rate the performance. The crowd also responded with chants of “zero,” echoing the judges’ verdict.

Clips from the audition soon spread across social media, prompting sharp reactions from viewers. Many users criticised the act, arguing that if similar remarks had been made by a male contestant about women, they would have sparked even greater outrage. Others said the performance misrepresented feminism and accused Sakshi of making controversial statements purely to gain attention. At the same time, a section of users argued that the act was intended as satire and should be viewed in the context of a comedy show rather than as literal beliefs.
According to her social media profile, Sakshi Jha is a teacher and content creator from Bihar. Her Instagram bio describes her as “Patriarchy’s worst nightmare.” After the episode aired, she shared a post describing her appearance on India’s Got Latent 2 as one of the best experiences of her life and praised Samay Raina and the show’s team.
India’s Got Latent has frequently made headlines for controversial performances and remarks by contestants. The latest episode has once again ignited discussions about the limits of comedy, satire and offensive humour. While Sakshi’s audition has become one of the most talked-about moments of the season, the unanimous zero score from the judges reflected the panel’s disapproval of the act, even as debate over the performance continues across social media.
