Film industry angry over removal of Sonam Wangchuk from fast, Vishal Dadlani and Prakash Raj raised questions

Wangchuk, who was fasting at Jantar Mantar for a long time, has been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital after the police action, where he is undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors.

The fast was going on for 20 days

Sonam Wangchuk was on a fast at Jantar Mantar in Delhi from 28 June 2026. He was protesting regarding his demands. On Saturday morning, the police took him to the hospital, after which many people raised questions on this action.

Prakash Raj targeted the government

Actor Prakash Raj gave his reaction on this matter through social media. He wrote that the government should talk to the youth, but instead a strict attitude is being adopted.

Prakash Raj expressed displeasure over Wangchuk being forcibly taken away and disrupting the peaceful protest. He called it worrying for the democratic system.

Vishal Dadlani expressed his displeasure by sharing the video

Singer and musician Vishal Dadlani also reacted on this matter by sharing a video. He questioned the action of taking Sonam Wangchuk to the hospital and said that he was saddened by this incident.

Vishal Dadlani said that he wished he had been present at the spot and could have helped in some way. He also appealed to the people to be aware on this issue.

Currently, Sonam Wangchuk is admitted in Safdarjung Hospital and doctors are keeping an eye on her health. His supporters say that he was protesting peacefully regarding his demands.
