New Delhi: The central government is emphasizing on using ethanol-blended petrol as an alternative to petrol. This is affecting the vehicles. Now, Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal will take out a march to the Prime Minister’s residence along with his supporters on Tuesday afternoon.
Arvind Kejriwal and his supporters will leave the party headquarters at 12 noon along with 100 people protesting against E-20 petrol and present a memorandum with 2.33 lakh signatures to the Prime Minister. However, permission has not been received from the Delhi Police for this march yet. Therefore, the focus is now on the police permission. After the protest by the ‘Cockroach Party’ at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and the protest by Rahul Gandhi outside the Prime Minister’s residence, the AAP has now announced to take out a march at the Prime Minister’s residence in Delhi.
At a press conference at the AAP headquarters, Kejriwal claimed that the people of the country are unhappy with the E-20. The mileage of people’s vehicles is decreasing and the vehicles are breaking down. He also alleged that the government is imposing it forcefully without any reason.
Threat of filing an FIR
Kejriwal alleged that a large crowd gathered inside and outside the town hall organized against the E-20 Act on Saturday and an estimated 7 lakh people were watching it online. If any influencer, content creator or aggrieved person raises their voice, they are threatened with trolling and filing of FIRs.
Will the Prime Minister-Kejriwal meet?
Kejriwal said that an online petition was submitted to the Prime Minister a few days ago. Under this campaign, 233238 people signed the petition in just a few days. He had sought an appointment with the Prime Minister a month ago, but did not receive any response. On Tuesday, he and his party workers will go to the Prime Minister’s residence and personally submit this complaint. He expressed hope that the Prime Minister will meet him and listen to his problems.
