Good news for the people of Uttar Pradesh! Now, in one click, find out the government land prices across the state.

Lucknow. A major step is being taken to make the process of buying and selling land in Uttar Pradesh more transparent and easier. Soon, citizens of the state will no longer have to visit registry offices to find out the government circle rate for land in any district, tehsil, village, or city. The Stamp and Registration Department is developing an online portal where government land prices across the state will be available in one place.

Once the new system is implemented, people will be able to view the circle rate for their desired area within minutes from the comfort of their homes. This will make it easier to obtain accurate information before purchasing land and will also reduce unnecessary hassle.

Information about every area will be available online

Upon entering the district, tehsil, and village or city name on the proposed portal, the government circle rate for agricultural, residential, and commercial land in the respective area will appear on the screen. This will allow both buyers and sellers to know in advance the government’s prescribed value for the land in question.

Registry process will be more transparent

Public disclosure of government rates will increase transparency in land purchases and sales. Disputes and confusion regarding circle rates during deed registration will be reduced. Furthermore, providing accurate information to the public will help curb fraud and irregularities.

The work of the Revenue Department will be expedited

The unified portal will benefit not only ordinary citizens but also the Revenue Department. Having data from all districts available on a digital platform will simplify record management and allow many processes to be completed at a faster pace than before.

The rate of land along the highway will also be updated.

In some areas of the state, circle rates are being determined separately for land affected by new road and highway projects. Revised rates for these areas will also be updated on the portal after the related development work is completed, so that people can access the latest government rates.
