Banda. A dispute over drinking alcohol in the Mataundh police station area of Banda district, Uttar Pradesh, turned bloody. Dharmendra alias Guddu (45), a history-sheeter with the Tindwari police station, was brutally murdered by hitting him on the head and face with a stone.
After committing the crime, the accused fled the scene. Police arrived on the scene, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Several police teams have been deployed to investigate the case.
According to information, Dharmendra alias Guddu, a resident of Amlikaur village in the Tindwari police station area, had been working at a gravel dump on Chilla Road for the past several months.
At around 9 pm on Monday night, he arrived at Duredi village in the Mataundh police station area with two friends. The three were drinking alcohol near a house under construction.
During this time, an argument broke out between them, which quickly escalated into a violent fight. It is alleged that the two accomplices killed Guddu by hitting him repeatedly on the head and face with a stone and then fled the scene.
Villagers informed the police about the incident. Upon receiving the information, Matandh Police Station in-charge Deependra Singh arrived at the scene with the police force.
The forensic team also inspected the scene and collected evidence. Liquor bottles and packets of snacks were also recovered from the scene.
Superintendent of Police Palash Bansal stated that the deceased, Dharmendra alias Guddu, was a history-sheeter with the Tindwari police station. A murder case was registered against him in 2007 and action has also been taken against him under the Gangsters Act. The two accused involved in the incident are being searched for and will be arrested soon.
Meanwhile, Assistant Superintendent of Police and City Circle Officer Ms. Mavis Talk stated on Tuesday that upon receiving information about a body found in the Matandh police station area on Monday night, the police and forensic team immediately arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation.
Preliminary investigations revealed several serious injuries on the body. During the investigation, the deceased was identified as Dharmendra alias Guddu, a history-sheeter from the Tindwari police station area. Special teams have been formed to investigate the incident, and some suspects have been detained and are being interrogated.
