Honda’s biggest splash yet, 10 models including 7 new bikes and scooters introduced, every option available from EV to Flex-Fuel

Honda Bikes India: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has made a major move to further strengthen its hold in the Indian two-wheeler market. The company has simultaneously introduced an expanded portfolio of 10 new and updated two-wheelers. This includes 7 all-new models and 3 updated models, all with new color options. Significantly, this lineup covers various segments, including cruisers, adventure bikes, roadsters, electric scooters, and flex-fuel models. The company states that these models will be manufactured in India, strengthening the Make in India campaign.

Portfolio Designed to Address Changing Customer Preferences

HMSI has stated that Indian customers now seek not only low prices and improved mileage, but also modern and premium two-wheelers tailored to their lifestyles. In response to this demand, the company has developed a portfolio that offers options for every type of rider. Speaking on the occasion, HMSI President and CEO Tsutsumu Otani said, “India is one of the most important strategic markets for Honda in the world. This new portfolio of 10 products offers customers a variety of mobility solutions. It strengthens our multi-pronged strategy to provide customers with options tailored to their diverse needs and infrastructure availability through advanced internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, electric mobility, and flex-fuel technology.”

From Adventure to EV, what’s special?

The new range includes the Honda ADV 160 as a city adventure scooter and will be India’s first scooter to support E85 flex-fuel. The CB500 has been redesigned as a retro roadster, the CB350 range has been redesigned with new colors, and the Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 have been introduced in the lifestyle cruiser segment. For off-road enthusiasts, the XR 300L and XR 300 Rally have been introduced, while to promote electric mobility, the company has also included the QC3 electric scooter in the launch lineup. This scooter claims to deliver an IDC range of up to 151 km on a single charge.

Honda E-Clutch and Make in India emphasis

The company will also offer Honda E-Clutch technology in select models, eliminating the need to repeatedly press the clutch in traffic and making riding easier. HMSI Director (Sales and Marketing) Mutsuo Usui said, “Today, Indian customers want products that meet their mobility needs and also suit their lifestyle.” The company has not yet disclosed prices and launch dates. All models will be introduced in the Indian market in a phased manner. Auto experts believe that this new portfolio from Honda could further intensify competition in the premium two-wheeler segment.
