The film focuses on a Roman Emperor who finds out about a secluded Druid stronghold in the mountains of Caledonia. As such, a Celtic elder played by Crowe needs to take up arms for the protection of his loved ones from the invasion of the Roman army. Besides Crowe and McIntyre, the film features Rose Leslie, Andreas Pietschmann, and Daniel Zovatto among others in important roles.
