MG Hector Hawk: MG Hector Hawk has a range of 530 km on a full charge, launching soon

MG Hector Hawk: Competition between electric and hybrid cars has intensified in the Indian auto market. In this regard, MG Motor is launching its new flagship SUV, the Hector Hawk, on August 28th. This will not be a new variant of the existing MG Hector. It will be the first car to be built on MG’s new platform, offering users the option of both EV and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) powertrains.

Powertrain and Range
In terms of engine and powertrain, the new Hector Hawk’s plug-in hybrid variant is considered to be the SUV’s biggest highlight.
It will be powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that has been specifically tuned for better mileage and greater fuel efficiency.

It will also come with a 20.5kWh battery
and an electric motor. This entire system generates approximately 195hp of power and 230Nm of torque. This means the car will deliver excellent performance and fuel efficiency during driving.

Range:
The biggest strength of this plug-in hybrid model will be its electric range. According to the company, the SUV can travel approximately 125 kilometers on a single full charge using the battery alone.

However, this battery will need to be charged periodically, as plug-in hybrid cars are externally charged. The Hector Hawk’s 125-kilometer electric range is considered the biggest advantage of this technology.

Wireless smartphone connectivity
is expected to include a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, a powered tailgate, connected car technology, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a host of advanced safety features. This means this SUV will be among the company’s most advanced offerings in terms of technology, comfort, and convenience.
