Iran’s biggest attack on American base in Bahrain so far, IRGC’s open warning – ‘Right now we have destroyed only the bases’

New Delhi: Tension between America and Iran is continuously increasing in the Middle East. After the recent air strikes by America, Iran has claimed to launch a major retaliatory attack. According to Tehran, the largest ever military operation was conducted targeting US military bases in Bahrain. This development has raised concerns in the entire region and the fear of a new military confrontation has intensified.

Claim of major attack on American targets

According to Iranian officials and government media, a large-scale attack was carried out on US military bases located in Bahrain. Iran says that this action has been taken in response to America’s recent air strikes.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesman Brigadier General Mohebbi said that Iran will continue its military campaign until the US military structure present in the Gulf region is completely weakened. He also warned that the current action is only an initial step and even bigger steps could be taken in the future.

Strict stance on the Strait of Hormuz

Iran has also taken a tough stance regarding the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the world’s most important maritime trade routes. Iranian army spokesman Brigadier General Akrami Nia said that this international waterway will not be opened until America accepts some key conditions.

Iran has demanded that America abide by the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two countries, stop hostile activities and respect the set rules. Iran says that the ban on movement of ships may continue until these conditions are met.

Increased concern on global market

The Strait of Hormuz supplies oil and gas to a large part of the world. In such a situation, the increasing tension on this route may have an impact on the international energy market. Experts believe that if the situation worsens, there may be a sharp rise in crude oil prices and global trade may also be affected.
