The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which is protesting at Jantar Mantar in the national capital, has removed its spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya from the post. This decision was taken after such videos surfaced which the party has described as insensitive conduct.
In a statement issued by the party, it was said that during the alleged use of force by the police on peaceful protesters and party workers, some videos of Vijeta Dahiya came to light, in which his behavior was found not to be in accordance with the values and principles of the party.
“We strongly condemn the extremely insensitive actions of our spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya. At a time when peaceful protestors and our team were facing police violence, her behavior was completely unacceptable. It reflects grave indecisiveness and is contrary to the core principles of our movement,” the statement said.
The party said that taking this matter seriously, Vijeta Dahiya is being removed from the post of spokesperson with immediate effect. He has also been relieved from all official responsibilities and obligations of the party.
Let us tell you that on July 20, when a large number of student protesters were trying to march towards the Parliament, lathicharge was also done during this time. It is being told that during this time Vijeta was not in the Dahiya movement. The video of him eating burger is going viral on social media.
However, Dahiya says that he went home to freshen up after the performance was over. He was hungry that’s why he ate the burger. There is nothing wrong in this. He also said that the people participating in the protest are not disputing this matter, rather those who never participated in this march are promoting it.
CJP has said that on July 21 also a huge crowd had gathered in and around Jantar Mantar. Dharmendra Pradhan will have to go. We are also present at the spot and are providing legal and medical help to our protesters. We will definitely win.
