‘Feeling like we will be attacked’: Protest outside Parliament, Kangana Ranaut was in fear inside; Praised Delhi Police
Kangana Ranaut CJP Protest:There was a tense atmosphere outside the Parliament complex during CJP’s Chalo ‘Sansad’ march in Delhi on 20 July. Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has given her reaction on this. On one hand, while the lathi charge and stone pelting of Delhi Police is being criticized during the protest, Kangana praised the Delhi Police profusely.
He said that during the protest there came a time when the MPs present inside the Parliament felt that the mob might attack them. However, he praised the role of Delhi Police in this entire incident and said that the police made an important contribution in handling the situation.
‘We were all scared’
Kangana Ranaut, who arrived to attend the monsoon session of Parliament, said while talking to ANI-“We were scared. The gates were also closed. The MPs were also imprisoned inside… How the mob used to attack… At one time yesterday it seemed that we all might be attacked, we all were scared.”

Big thing said in praise of Delhi Police
Kangana Ranaut said that Delhi Police acted like a security shield during the entire incident. He said-“…but I appreciate Delhi Police. He acted as a shield among us and faced stones and injuries but did not allow any harm to the public mind.”
What was CJP’s performance?
On Monday, a call was given by CJP to take out a march from Jantar Mantar to Parliament. A large number of people participated in this demonstration. The protesters were camping at Jantar Mantar for the last one month and were protesting against the government regarding their demands.
As the protesters moved towards Parliament, the police closed the roads by placing barricades at many places. Despite this, some protesters were successful in crossing the barricade, after which the situation became tense.

Use of lathicharge and tear gas
There were clashes between police and protesters at many places during the demonstration. To control the crowd, the police resorted to lathi charge and also released tear gas shells.

Around 10:30 in the morning, some protesters tried to break the barricade, after which the police started action. After this, a tense situation remained around Sansad Marg, Patel Chowk and Rail Bhawan.
Shabana Azmi also came to protest
Earlier, senior actress Shabana Azmi had also reached Jantar Mantar and registered her presence in support of the protesters. He supported the movement and agreed to the demands of the protesters.
This visit of Shabana Azmi took place at a time when social activist Sonam Wangchuk had also become a part of the movement and was sitting on an indefinite hunger strike.
