Indian comedian Jaaved Jaaferi is one of the most successful comedians of the country who has worked continuously for multiple decades.
However, he still believes there are factors that limit an actor when it comes to commercial success and the pressures that come along with it.
The actor spoke about the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and said even he had his limitations despite being the biggest name in the industry.
Speaking on HT City with Arshad Warsi, he said “There was a phase when nobody had been bigger than Mr Bachchan. There was a phase when Mr Bachchan couldn’t do anything different because it didn’t work.”
He continued “Again, he was limited because the commercial aspects didn’t allow him to move. Now he’s doing the variations which he, as an actor, obviously wanted to do. The commercial aspects didn’t allow him to move.”
The 63-year-old said he has consciously made the effort to make thoughtful career choices so he does not end up saturating himself.
The It’s over star added that the younger generation now is professional but “they’re in a hurry and are not very accommodating”.
