Patna. While there is a period of brainstorming going on in BJP after losing Patna’s hot seat Bankipur assembly seat. After this defeat, Janata Dal (United)’s MLA from Mokama, Anant Singh, is continuing his attack against BJP. Earlier, he had only said that the public had made Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister and they were angry with his removal, but now Anant Singh has gone a step ahead and said that they (BJP) had become arrogant. In response to the question asked about BJP’s defeat in Bankipur by-election, Anant Singh said that they had become arrogant that they had won Calcutta, Bombay and abroad.

Mokama MLA Anant Singh did not stop here and said, ‘What is the meaning of alliance? Here there was pride that they won Calcutta, won abroad, won Bombay. The situation is bad all over the country, not just in Bihar. The public had made Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister. Now if someone makes someone else the Chief Minister, then the public will not like it. When the public votes for someone, they wait for them to be made the Chief Minister. Now, in between, you make this person the Chief Minister and sometimes that person. Fight in your name, the Chief Minister in whose name the fight is made should remain the Chief Minister, no matter which party he belongs to.’
JDU MLA Anant Singh’s second outburst
The BJP was arrogant, having won Calcutta and abroad… The BJP’s position is now poor not only in Bankipur and Bihar, but across the country. When they won votes in Nitish’s name, they should have kept him as CM, otherwise they would have announced this change before the elections #Bihar pic.twitter.com/EpmgaRDcre

It’s worth noting that the Bankipur Assembly seat was held by BJP National President Nitin Naveen. Naveen had consistently won this seat. It was only after he left for the Rajya Sabha that a by-election was necessitated. In this by-election, the BJP faced challenges from Jansuraj candidate Prashant Kishore and Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Rekha Gupta. The BJP had nominated Neeraj Sinha as its candidate. Several senior and senior party leaders, including BJP National President Nitin Naveen, exerted their full strength in the election campaign.
When the election results came in on August 3, they surprised everyone. Jansuraj candidate Prashant Kishore, contesting this seat for the first time, won, snatching it from the BJP. BJP’s Neeraj Sinha had finished second in the election results. The RJD candidate’s deposit was forfeited. Following the BJP’s defeat, Anant Singh also commented that the public had become convinced that the BJP had betrayed Nitish Kumar by removing him.
What did Anant Singh say before this?
JDU MLA Anant Singh had said that the message went out among the public that Nitish Kumar had been removed from his post and the public was unhappy about this. Anant Singh had said that there was a rumour among the public that the BJP had done this to Nitish Kumar. We had voted for Nitish Kumar. These people bring in someone and remove someone else whenever they want. The public did not like the fact that we vote in someone’s name and someone else makes someone else. These people have created a mess and the public does not like messing around.
