The story of love, relationships and unfinished emotions is set to continue as Netflix has announced the second season of Musafir Cafe. The streaming platform revealed that Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto and Mahima Makwana would return for the new chapter of the romantic drama.
Netflix had shared an announcement video for Season 2, confirming that the series would bring back the journey of Chander, Sudha and Preeti. The first season had focused on their relationships, emotions and personal choices.
The makers had not revealed major details about the upcoming storyline. However, the new season was expected to continue from where the previous chapter had ended and explore the next phase of the characters’ lives.
Speaking about the renewal, Tanya Bami, Series Head, Netflix India, said, “Musafir Cafe has captured the hearts of audiences all over. The conversations about the show have hijacked the Internet with debates about the ending and what lies ahead, the dialogues, the characters and the music.”
She added, “Season 2 will be an integral part of that slate. We can’t wait to take this tale of love and longing into its next exciting phase.”
Creator and writer Sharanya Rajgopal also shared her thoughts on continuing the story. She said, “I’m overwhelmed by the outpouring of love on our show. As storytellers, we can only hope that our characters will find a home in people’s hearts.”
The show had featured Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto and Mahima Makwana in leading roles, while Adil Hussain, Rajeev Siddhartha, Anubha Fatehpuria, Loveleen Mishra and Sadia Siddiqui had played important characters.
She further said that the response from viewers had encouraged the team to bring another chapter of Chander, Sudha and Preeti’s story.

Musafir Cafe had been created and written by Sharanya Rajgopal and directed by Ruchir Arun. The series was based on characters from Divya Prakash Dubey’s novel and was produced by Terribly Tiny Tales (TTT) with Homemade Stories.
Netflix had not announced the release date for Season 2 yet.
