Big decisions in the meeting of Ram Mandir Trust, spokesperson will be appointed, decision on CEO selection after a month
Ayodhya : An important meeting of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust was held on Wednesday, in which many important decisions were taken to further strengthen the administrative structure of the temple. It was decided in the meeting that now an official spokesperson of the Trust will be appointed, while the final decision on the selection of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be taken after about a month. In the meeting that lasted for about two and a half hours, the arrangements, organizational structure and future action plan of the temple were discussed in detail. The Trust also approved the formation of a new religious committee for better conduct of religious activities. This committee will be headed by Govind Devagiri. The committee will include five saints of Ayodhya along with four external members. This committee will guide the operation and religious arrangements of the temple.

It was also decided in the meeting to set up a special training center for Archakas, so that trained priests can be arranged as per the worship method and religious traditions. However, no final decision could be taken at present on the appointment of the regular General Secretary. This meeting took place amid the recent controversy of theft of offerings, hence the administrative arrangements of the Trust were also discussed in detail. Some members of the Trust were present in Ayodhya while some trustees from Delhi and Lucknow attended the meeting through digital medium.
The Trust had invited applications for the post of CEO till July 18. It is being told that thousands of applications have been received for this post, which include retired IAS and IPS officers, senior bureaucrats and experienced professionals from various fields. However, the Trust has not released the official number of applications.
The expert committee formed for the selection of CEO will scrutinize the applications and hand over the eligible names to the Trust. This committee includes retired Justice Pramod Kohli, retired Lieutenant General Vishnukant Chaturvedi and former NIT Raipur Chairman Suresh Haware. The final decision will be taken in the trust meeting. The appointment of the new CEO is aimed at strengthening financial monitoring, increasing accountability and making the daily operations of the Ram Temple more streamlined.
