Ukraine carried out a drone attack on two logistics centers of Wildberries, Russia’s largest e-commerce company. The attacks injured 15 people, set fire to several warehouses, and were expected to have a major impact on Russia’s supply chain.

In recent days, Ukraine has intensified its targeting of logistics and supply networks within Russia. In this sequence, drone attacks were carried out on several logistics centers of Russia’s largest online retail company Wildberries, in which at least 15 people were injured. Following the attacks, massive fires broke out in many warehouses and employees were immediately evacuated to safer places.
This is the second time within four days that Wildberries warehouses have been targeted. Even before this, there were attacks on the company’s warehouses in Tambov and Elektrostal, in which many people were killed. These continuous attacks have raised serious questions about the security of Russia’s e-commerce and supply chain networks.
Two major logistics hubs became targets
The latest attacks targeted Wildberries logistics centers in Nevinnomyssk in Russia’s Krasnodar and Stavropol regions. The attacks took place late at night, following which both the premises caught fire and the employees were evacuated safely. Company founder Tatyana Kim said that the safety of the employees was the top priority and everyone was evacuated in time. However, many workers were injured and warehouses were heavily damaged.
15 people injured, many in critical condition
According to the local administration, five people were injured in the warehouse in Nevinnomyssk, who were sent home after first aid. Ten people were injured in the attack in Krasnodar, out of which the condition of three was said to be critical. Relief and rescue teams carried out operations to extinguish the fire throughout the night. After several hours of hard work the fire could be controlled.
Ukraine targets military supply network
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the attacks were aimed at Russian logistics centers involved in providing the military with drone parts, navigation equipment and other technical materials. Ukraine claims that these centers were being used to store dual-use technologies and military supplies. However, Russia has not accepted this claim.
Area filled with fire and smoke
Videos of high flames and thick smoke emerged from both cities following the attacks. Many locals shared photos and videos of the incident on social media, which showed large warehouses burning. A fire was also reported at an oil storage facility in the Krasnodar region. Apart from this, residential buildings and some houses were also damaged by the drone debris, although no one was reported injured there.
Wildberries came under target for the second time
This is the second time within four days that Wildberries’ logistics network has been attacked. Earlier, warehouses of Elektrostal and Tambov-based company were also targeted. Satellite photos showed many buildings being completely destroyed. The continuous attacks have affected the company’s supply chain and delivery network across the country.
