While leaving for Delhi, Manoj Jarange Patil attacked the government, said – “The arrogance of power does not last forever, atrocities on students cannot be tolerated.”

Prominent leaders of Maratha reservation movement Manoj Jarange Patil While talking to the media before leaving for Delhi, he made a scathing attack on the government. He said that if the youth and students of the country are struggling for justice then every section of the society should stand with them. He also targeted the arrogance of those in power and said that “The pride and joy of power does not last forever. Once the public’s trust is broken, then those people show the way out of power.”

Manoj Jarange Patil said that he decided to cancel his upcoming tour and go to Delhi because the incidents that happened with the students left him extremely distressed. He said that when the youth who are building the future are struggling for justice, then use of force on them cannot be considered appropriate under any circumstances.

He appealed to the people to rise above political differences and think in the interest of the students. He said, “Your son and daughter are the biggest asset of your future. The future of youth and students should be given priority instead of blindly supporting political parties.”

Manoj Jarange Patil also said that incidents like exam paper leak affect the years of hard work of lakhs of students. He raised the question that if such injustice is done to the students who prepare for many years, then the society and the government should also consider their mental condition.

Regarding the cases being registered against the agitators, he said that similar action had been taken earlier also during their agitation. His allegation was that after using force on the agitators, allegations were leveled against him. He demanded an impartial investigation from the Central Government into the entire matter.

Jarange Patil said that there is resentment among the general public over the alleged incidents that happened with students and youth. He said that if the government does not understand the sentiments of the people, its impact will be visible on the democratic process in the future.

He told that the proposed Western Maharashtra tour from August 9 to 13 will remain the same, but by canceling the Marathwada tour for the time being, he has immediately left for Delhi, so that he can raise his voice in support of the students.

Manoj Jarange Patil finally said that the society should stand strongly with the students and agitators fighting for justice. He appealed to the government that the problems of the students should be resolved with dialogue and sensitivity and such incidents should not be repeated in future.
