Tata confirms the entry of 3 new electric cars, from the updated Tigor EV to the premium Avinya.

Electric SUV India: In view of the ever-increasing demand for electric vehicles in India, Tata Motors is preparing to further strengthen its EV range. The company already has the largest electric car portfolio in the country, but now it is planning to launch three new electric models. These include the updated Tigor EV, the three-row Safari EV, and the premium Avinya EV. It is believed that these models have been designed keeping different customer segments in mind and will feature improved range and features along with new technology.

The new Tigor EV could get major changes

It has been reported that Tata is preparing to update its entry-level electric sedan, the Tigor EV. Following the Tiago EV receiving a new update a few months ago, it’s now the Tigor EV’s turn. Reports suggest that the new Tigor EV could feature a refreshed exterior design, new features, and an updated electric powertrain.

Additionally, the company’s new 6-in-1 electric drivetrain could also be included. In terms of features, a larger infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and several premium updates could make it even more special.

Safari EV will be Tata’s first 3-row SUV

Tata Motors’ upcoming Safari EV will be the company’s first three-row electric SUV. It is expected to be introduced around this year’s festive season. It will be positioned above the company’s Harrier EV.

Reports suggest that the Safari EV could be offered with a choice of 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs. The top variant is also expected to feature a dual-motor all-wheel drive (QWD) system, which could improve its performance compared to many electric SUVs in the country.

Avinya EV will be Tata’s most premium electric SUV

Tata’s much-hyped electric SUV, the Avinya EV, is expected to launch in 2027. A test model was recently spotted on Indian roads, clearly indicating that it is now entering the final stages of production.

Reports suggest that the Avinya will feature a minimalist dashboard, a large central infotainment display, a new two-spoke steering wheel, and a highly premium cabin. The company is expected to manufacture it at its new plant in Panpakkam, Tamil Nadu. It is believed that it will offer a more premium experience than Tata’s current EV lineup.

Currently, it’s clear that Tata Motors is poised to capitalize on the growing EV segment in India. However, the company hasn’t officially confirmed the launch date or specifications of these three models. Therefore, information regarding these models is currently emerging based on reports and testing.
