Kharge countered on PM Modi’s fast track court announcement, said – ‘Youth do not want speeches, they want justice’

Tezzbuzz Desk – Amidst the NEET paper leak controversy and students’ agitation, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has launched a scathing attack on the Central Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He alleged that during the tenure of the present government, the education system of the country has weakened and force was used to suppress the voice of the students. Kharge said that the youth do not just need announcements, but such decisions which will secure their future.

‘The education system has weakened’

Mallikarjun Kharge, while posting on the social media platform ‘X’, said that the education system has continuously weakened during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the youth of the country need concrete policies and accountability, going beyond empty promises and small announcements.

‘Lathicharge and force were used on students’

The Congress President alleged that lathicharge, pellet guns and shock batons were used against the students during their protests. He said that the youth who were raising their voice for their future and rights were treated like criminals.

Kharge appealed to the Prime Minister to understand the pain of the protesting students and meet the youth who are fighting on the streets for their future.

Three demands placed before the government

Kharge said that the agitating students have three main demands. First, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should be immediately removed from the post. Second, the government should publicly apologize for the action taken against the students. Third, the students against whom action has been taken should be given justice and appropriate relief.

The Congress President alleged that the youth in the country are facing a serious employment crisis. He said that there are not enough jobs available in the private sector, government permanent jobs are decreasing and contract based recruitment is increasing. According to him, in such a situation the future of the youth is becoming insecure.

He also alleged that ideological influence is increasing on the education system, which is affecting the interests of students.

This reaction of Mallikarjun Kharge comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement in which he had said that protecting the interests of students and securing the future of the youth is the top priority of the government. The Prime Minister had announced the formation of a fast track court to quickly punish the culprits in paper leak cases and said that those who play with the future of the youth will not be spared at any cost.
