Indian students are not alone… Rahul Gandhi’s protest march on NEET paper leak, opposition MPs stopped by police

Amid the ongoing deadlock in Parliament over the NEET-UG paper leak controversy, opposition MPs led by Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi took out a protest march. MPs and leaders of INDIA Block were peacefully going towards Gandhi Smriti located on 30 January Marg, when the police stopped them by barricading. It is being told that the bus of opposition MPs was stopped before the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Rahul Gandhi said- the entire opposition stands with the students

During the protest march, Rahul Gandhi said that the opposition is going to remember the students who allegedly lost their lives after the NEET paper leak. He said that the opposition stands with the students who were injured and are demanding justice and accountability.

Rahul Gandhi said, “The students of India are not alone. The entire opposition stands with them and their demands.” Meanwhile, the presence of Delhi Police was also increased outside Rahul Gandhi’s residence.

Which leaders attended the meeting with Rahul Gandhi?

Many senior leaders of INDIA alliance attended the meeting with Rahul Gandhi. Many MPs including Arvind Sawant, Supriya Sule, Mahua Moitra, Mahua Manjhi, Saugata Roy, Misa Bharti, Sanjay Yadav, John Brittas, P. Santosh Kumar, Ramji Lal Suman and ET Mohammad Bashir were included. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav was not present in the meeting.

Deadlock continues on NEET issue in Parliament

The opposition is demanding a detailed discussion in Parliament on the NEET-UG paper leak issue and the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The opposition in Rajya Sabha has also raised the demand for discussion under Rule 267. At the same time, the central government says that it is ready to discuss the NEET controversy, but the opposition should not put any conditions.

Uproar in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha

Earlier, there was a huge uproar in both the houses of the Parliament regarding the NEET issue. Opposition MPs raised slogans and protested. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the government was ready to discuss the NEET issue and the House proceedings were being disrupted due to the opposition’s conditions.
