Genoa had also made an enquiry to Fiorentina to ask about Piccoli’s availability, but Fiorentina have not taken those discussions any further.

Piccoli joined Fiorentina towards the end of the last summer transfer window in 2025, joining the Viola from Cagliari in a transfer reported to be worth €25m.

He went on to score four goals from 32 outings in Serie A, plus another three from 10 appearances in the Conference League in 2025-26.
