A big decision will be taken in the Cabinet meeting’, PM Modi announced in a midnight video message

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a stern statement taking a strict stand on the issue of paper leaks in NEET and other exams. He said that more stringent measures will be taken against the paper leak in today’s cabinet meeting.
In a video posted on Facebook, the Prime Minister said that the government will take stricter action against the paper leak mafia. He emphasized zero-tolerance policy against those who spoil the future of students.

The announcement comes at a time when students are protesting across the country over the NEET UG paper leak controversy and the opposition is attacking the government.
Protests were held at various places on Thursday against the use of force on students in protest against the leaking of the NEET-UG examination. People took to the streets in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Punjab. The most violent protests took place in Bihar.
Police fired tear gas and fired in the air to quell protesters in Darbhanga and Jehanabad districts. Several protesters, including police and administrative officials, were injured.
Police had to resort to lathicharge to stop students protesting against Patna University and marching towards the Assembly, with half a dozen students reportedly suffering head injuries.
Police headquarters released photos of 117 protesters, while Patna police released photos of 60 protesters. SSP Kartikeya Sharma said that the student demonstration was hijacked by miscreants.
