R Madhavan puts an end to rumours of joining politics, heaps praise on friend Vijay

He was also questioned about rumors of entering politics. Madhavan made it clear that he has no intention of entering politics. However, he praised his friend and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and expressed pride in his political journey. For some time, there have been reports suggesting that R. Madhavan might enter politics. However, the actor completely dismissed these reports. He stated that he has no interest in politics and does not aspire to power or political position. According to Madhavan, politics is not the only way to serve society, and he prefers to do good for people in his own way.

During a conversation with filmmaker K.S. Ravikumar, Madhavan also expressed his views on the changes in Tamil Nadu politics. Referring to his friend and actor Vijay, he said he was very proud that Vijay had reached the position of Chief Minister. Madhavan said that seeing Vijay as Chief Minister has given him confidence that change is possible. Referring to his long-standing relationship with Vijay, Madhavan said that he knows him very well. He expressed happiness that his friend is now assuming such a significant responsibility. According to the actor, if someone works for the public and strives to bring about change, it is a good thing.

During the conversation, Madhavan also mentioned Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. He said that he has known Udhayanidhi since childhood and is happy to see him shouldering such a significant responsibility today. Madhavan said that if politics is conducted in a healthy manner and its aim is to serve the public interest, then nothing can be better than that. However, when asked if he himself would ever consider entering politics, his answer was clear. Madhavan said that politics is a double-edged sword for him. According to him, in politics, one can face criticism even when doing good work, and even mistakes are constantly targeted.

The actor also stated that a spirit of service is essential to entering politics. He has no desire to gain power or become Chief Minister. He wants to contribute to society through his work rather than lead people. Madhavan also admitted that he lacks a deep understanding of politics. However, he respects democratically elected leaders. He believes that there are many ways to contribute to society, and that everyone should work to the best of their ability. Thus, R.
