Senior Bollywood actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty has been admitted to a private hospital on EM Bypass in Kolkata for hand surgery. He was brought to the hospital late Thursday night, where his hand was successfully operated under the supervision of specialist doctors. According to hospital sources, his health is completely stable after the surgery and he is recovering rapidly.
On Friday morning, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari visited the hospital and inquired about his health. After leaving the hospital, the Chief Minister told reporters that Mithun Chakraborty is completely healthy and his hand surgery was successful. He said that doctors have declared his condition normal and there is no need for concern.
The Chief Minister said that if his health continues to improve, Mithun Chakraborty will be discharged from the hospital by Friday evening. After this, he will return to his residence in New Town and rest for a few days as advised by the doctors.
According to hospital sources, a team of doctors is continuously monitoring him after the operation. All necessary medical tests have been found to be normal, and his recovery is satisfactory. Doctors say that he will need regular follow-up and necessary precautions for some time.
