Recently, the government has taken an important decision to make the sale of liquor easier and faster than before. On August 6, the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited (TASMAC) has launched a new mobile app, through which you can check the brand and price of liquor from your mobile phone and place orders online.
In how many shops will this facility be implemented in the state?
TASMAC’s digital liquor system will be implemented in approximately 4,038 retail shops in the state. Using this app, you can easily find nearby shops. The most important feature of this is that you will be able to easily find out which brands are available in each shop and what are their prices through this app.
Why is this special app being launched?
Recently, some TASMAC employees were accused of overcharging customers. However, after such cases came to light, the corporation took strict action against those employees. Therefore, this new app is now being used to curb complaints of overcharging.
How does the new system work?
You will now be able to easily check the brand and price of liquor through your mobile app. You can also order your favorite product online. Once the online payment is completed, you will be given a QR code. You can pick up your liquor by showing this QR code at the respective TASMAC retail outlet. The biggest advantage of this is that you no longer need to wait in long queues at the shops to buy liquor.
