He claimed that most of the people involved in the protest did not appear to be genuine students, but were politically motivated. He also said that our demands should be put forward in a democratic and disciplined manner.
Deputy CM’s statement on NEET protests
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao on Friday reacted to the ongoing protests over the NEET paper leak. He claimed that the people involved in the protest did not appear to be genuine students, but appeared to be inspired by political parties. According to him, students who are preparing for competitive exams are concentrating on their studies, while the people involved in the protest are there with a different purpose.
He said that everyone has the right to express their views on any issue, but this work should be done within discipline and democratic limits. He said that the concerned delegation has been heard and further dialogue should be held as per proper procedure.
Protest continues at Jantar Mantar
Protests are being held by various organizations at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi regarding NEET paper leak and alleged irregularities in competitive examinations. The protesters are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan along with reforms in the examination system and ensuring accountability. He says that effective steps should be taken to maintain transparency and credibility of competitive examinations.
During these demonstrations, various student organizations and social groups have also stressed the need for reform in the examination system. However, different claims are being made by different political parties regarding the identity and representation of the people involved in the protest.
Also responded to Congress’s allegations
During this period, Arun Sao also reacted to the allegations made by Congress. He said that there is no factionalism within the Bharatiya Janata Party and the regular meetings of the organization are being misrepresented. According to him, Congress should focus on its organizational issues instead of linking its internal political differences with BJP.
He said that BJP’s organizational meetings are part of the regular functioning of the party and they should not be linked to any controversy.
Government took steps regarding examination system
After the NEET paper leak controversy, the central government has talked about taking several steps to make the examination system more secure and transparent. The government has also taken initiative towards strict legal action, speedy trial in cases related to paper leaks and new legal provisions to prevent such incidents in future.
