Strict stance on NEET paper leak issue, Shubhendu Adhikari said – playing with the future of youth will not be tolerated.

Kolkata. West Bengal Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of setting up a fast track court to give quick and strict punishment to the culprits in cases of paper leaks in various competitive examinations including NEET.

He said that those who play with the future of the youth should not be spared at any cost and the government’s zero tolerance policy against such crimes will continue.

While sharing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s post on social media platform X on Thursday night, Shubhendu Adhikari wrote that this decision of the Prime Minister will prove to be a decisive step towards crushing the paper leak mafia.

He said that this will ensure quick and strict punishment to the culprits and will protect the hard work and future of crores of meritorious students of the country.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also said in his social media message that the future and welfare of the country’s youth is the top priority.

He announced that fast track courts would be set up to hear cases like paper leaks so that the culprits could be given quick and strict punishment.

While talking to journalists on this issue, Shubhendu Adhikari said, “The entire statement given by the Prime Minister today is the matter of all of us.

There is no need for the Chief Minister of any state to say anything separately. This is an issue of the entire country. Whatever the Prime Minister has said, that is our message also.”

He said that any kind of playing with the future of meritorious students cannot be accepted and strict action should be taken against such criminals.

During this, Shubhendu Adhikari also mentioned the ongoing CJP movement in Delhi and the student movement in Jadavpur University.

He said that in a democracy, everyone has the right to demonstrate peacefully and express their views, but if there is a political motive behind any movement or if students are put under pressure to include them in the protest, then it is not acceptable.

He alleged that students from some hostels of Jadavpur University were forced to join the movement against their will.

The Chief Minister said that some students have given him information in this regard and he has also talked to the Vice Chancellor of the University on this subject.

It is noteworthy that political and social debate has intensified in the entire country regarding the NEET paper leak issue. The Central Government has assured speedy trial of cases through fast track courts and strict punishment to the culprits.

At the same time, the opposition is continuously cornering the government on this issue. In West Bengal too, this topic has become the center of discussion due to student movements and political rhetoric.
