Fabrizio Romano: New Como offer for Chelsea’s Chalobah
Chalobah has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A this summer, with both Inter and Como said to be interested earlier on in the window. Cesc Fabregas’s side now appear the more likely of the two sides to strike a deal with Chelsea, and according to reports from Fabrizio Romanothey have submitted a new offer for the English centre-back.
Friday’s update claims that Como have offered €25m in guaranteed fees with easily-achievable bonuses of €5m to take the deal to the €30m mark.
Romano reports that Chalobah is ‘keen’ on the idea of moving to Como, whilst Calciomercato.com claims that there is already an agreement in principle in place on salary demands.
Chelsea finished the 2025-26 season in 10th place in the Premier League and will not be competing in Europe next term, while Como have the lure of Champions League football on offer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have agreed a deal reported to be worth around €60m (£52m) for Crystal Palace centre-back Lacroix, which is expected to push Chalobah further down the pecking order in West London.
