ASUS ROG has introduced the ROG Thor 1600W Titanium III EVO, a premium power supply designed for high-end gaming systems and demanding workloads. With a 1600W capacity, the unit is aimed at users building powerful PCs with modern flagship graphics cards and processors.

The new model focuses not only on high power output but also on efficiency, voltage stability, thermal management and monitoring. ASUS has equipped it with a GaN MOSFET, a patented GPU-First Intelligent Voltage Stabilizer and the company’s ROG Equalizer 12V-2×6 PCIe cable.

ASUS notes that the test involved removing four middle wires from the 16-pin cable to simulate a severe current-imbalance scenario. The company recommends the cable for systems with a total power limit of up to 600W.

Magnetic OLED Display Adds Real-Time Monitoring

The display is magnetically detachable, allowing users to move it to either side of the PSU depending on whether the unit is installed with the fan facing upward or downward.
