Delhi: Indian cricket team’s fast bowlers Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep have been given a big responsibility by the Bihar government under the sports quota. Both the players have been appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary handed over appointment letters to both of them during a program.

This program was organized at Energy Auditorium, Patna, where the Chief Minister, along with giving appointment letters to the players, also distributed sports scholarship selection letters and honor money. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh were also present on this occasion.
Mukesh and Akash have been given this honor for their excellent performance in Indian cricket and bringing glory to the country. Both have been impressing with their fast bowling in domestic cricket and international level for a long time. Now he will get the opportunity to perform administrative responsibilities along with sports.

Under this initiative, the Bihar government has appointed not only these two cricketers but also 180 players from different sports in different government services. The aim of the government is to provide a better future and economic security to the players, so that they can strengthen their career along with sports.
Apart from this, 637 players will be given the benefit of sports scholarship in the current financial year. Under the government’s Saksham scheme, players will get assistance up to Rs 3 lakh every year, while under the Utkarsh scheme, there is a provision of financial assistance up to Rs 5 lakh. At the same time, under special circumstances, players can also be given assistance up to Rs 20 lakh.
