A very big political news of this time is coming out from Lucknow. National President of Samajwadi Party (SP) and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav has made a big announcement that on 26th July, ‘Samvidhan-Manastambh Foundation Day’ will be organized with great pomp by his party across the country including Uttar Pradesh.
The SP chief says that the main objective of celebrating this special day is to increase public awareness about social justice, equal opportunities for every citizen and the constitutional values of our country.
What is the special significance of the historical day of 26th July?
Akhilesh Yadav stressed that this day of 26th July has a very special and special significance in the pages of history. According to him, this was the same historical day when Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj, the great ruler of the then princely state of Kolhapur, first implemented the system of reservation, taking deep inspiration from the great social thoughts of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. He described this step as a very important and historic milestone taken in the direction of social justice in the country.
Told reservation as a strong foundation of social justice
The President of Samajwadi Party further said that this reservation system has provided a golden opportunity to the exploited, deprived and backward sections of the society to move forward by joining the mainstream. He reminded that later on, this great ideology got a firm place in our Indian Constitution as the basic principles of social justice and equal opportunity after the tireless efforts and struggles of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Akhilesh Yadav believes that not just thinking good things, but putting ideological thinking into practice is the biggest mark of any real change in the society, and the day of 26th July reminds of this historic initiative.
Special programs will be held in all district and state offices of SP
Sharing the outline of this special event, Akhilesh Yadav said that on this occasion, simple but grand programs will be organized in the state headquarters of Samajwadi Party, all the district offices and all other organizational offices. During all these events, party workers and leaders will stand in front of the original copy of the Indian Constitution and once again reiterate the ideals of the Constitution and its resolve for social harmony and social justice.

It is very important for our democratic system to always keep the basic spirit of the Constitution strong.
