There was a huge jump in the prices of Brent crude oil on Thursday. By the close of trading, the price reached $100.69 per barrel, while at one point in the day it had even reached $102. The surge, which was the highest in nearly two months, came due to rising tensions related to Iran, which raised fears of a disruption in global energy supplies.
