Big decision regarding contracts amid protests in Delhi, now liquor will be available only till 10 o’clock

Protest is going on at Jantar Mantar in Delhi regarding NEET paper leak. Due to this many metro stations are closed. Now meanwhile, the government has taken another decision, under which the closing time of liquor shops in the capital has been changed for the time being. Earlier, liquor vends in the capital used to open till 10 pm, but now its time period has been reduced.

Now till the weekend, all liquor shops in Delhi will be closed at 8 pm. It is being told that this decision has been taken on the advice of the police. In view of the protest and security arrangements, the administration has reduced the timings of shops by two hours as a precaution, so that there is no problem in maintaining law and order.

What time will liquor shops close?

Actually, liquor shops in Delhi used to remain open till 10 pm, but now they will have to close at 8 pm only. Even on Thursday, many shops were closed ahead of schedule, due to which many customers had to return without making purchases. According to government officials, this arrangement will remain in force till the weekend. A decision on this will be taken as per further circumstances.

Why was this decision taken?

Students are continuously protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar regarding the alleged NEET paper leak issue. However, no logic has been given yet behind this decision, but it may be that the reason for this is safety from people doing wrong things while drunk. Also, on weekends the crowd often increases towards Central Delhi and this may increase due to shops.

There has been chaos before too

The situation worsened during the Parliament march taken out by the protesters on July 20. During this, there was a clash between the protesters and the police, in which many people were injured. After this the security arrangements were further tightened. While Sonam Wangchuk ended her fast after 26 days, the protest is still going on. At the same time, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has removed 47 of its officers from their jobs. Legal and criminal action will also be taken against some of these officers.
