According to sources, Uli Latukefu has been cast as Ganondorf in the live-action film adaptation of “The Legend of Zelda.” Ganondorf is considered the most formidable and dangerous villain in the game series. It’s also been reported that the actor has signed a contract for more than one film, suggesting that if the film becomes a major franchise, Ganondorf could appear in future films. However, Sony has yet to officially confirm the casting. Nintendo previously announced that Bo Bragason had been cast as Princess Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth had been cast as Link.

Nintendo and Sony announced plans to produce a live-action film adaptation of “The Legend of Zelda” in 2023. The film is being directed by Wes Ball, known for the “Planet of the Apes” series. Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad are producing, with T.S. Nowlin working on a new draft of the screenplay. Bo Bragason will play Princess Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will play Link. The film is currently scheduled for release on May 7, 2027. Uli Latukefu is best known for portraying a young Dwayne Johnson in NBC’s “Young Rock” series.
