CJP’s big announcement on Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, agitation will continue till written assurance is received
Delhi. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday submitted his resignation letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid ongoing protests across the country over NEET exam rigging and paper leak issue. At the same time, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which is protesting at Jantar Mantar, has welcomed the resignation and made it clear that the students’ agitation will not end until written assurance is received from the government on all their demands.

Dharmendra Pradhan, while sharing the information of his resignation on the social media platform ‘X’, wrote that he is saddened by the events of the last few days. He said,
“With this in mind, that no anti-national force should be able to take advantage of the situation created at Jantar Mantar and across the country, that the unity of the country should be maintained and that the future of the students should not get entangled in legal complications, I have submitted my resignation to the Prime Minister. This is not a question of personal prestige for me. I have taken responsibility for the irregularities in the NEET exam from the very first day and have never turned away from this situation.”
CJP warns that protest will continue till written assurance
On the other hand, while addressing students at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, CJP founder Abhijit Deepke, spokesperson Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka said that the resignation of the Education Minister is the first success of the movement, but the fight is not over yet. It is noteworthy that on Friday, CJP representatives had talks with Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh.
In the meeting, the student delegation had made three main demands: Resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan (which has been announced). An assistance amount of ₹1 crore each to the families of the candidates who committed suicide after the NEET paper leak controversy. Withdrawal of all FIRs registered against agitating students. CJP leaders say that the government had shown a positive attitude on the remaining two demands, but until written orders are issued on these, the movement will continue.

It is noteworthy that the protest of students is going on at Jantar Mantar since June 20 in protest against irregularities in NEET examination. In support of this, students in many other states of the country are also taking to the streets and registering their protest.
