Pradhan said that along with this, the government has also decided that from next year the NEET-UG examination will be conducted completely in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode so that the possibility of such incidents in future can be reduced. He said that his biggest priority during the entire incident was to protect the interests of more than 20 lakh students.

• Dharmendra Pradhan said that from the very first day he accepted the responsibility of this entire matter and never backed down from it. His aim was that the future of any meritorious student should not be affected due to examination controversy and injustice should not be done to anyone.

• In his resignation letter, Dharmendra Pradhan said that he is personally saddened by the events of the last few days, but for him it is not a question of personal prestige but of the future of the youth of the country. He said that the youth of India is the biggest strength of the country and it should not get trapped in any confusion or controversy.
• Pradhan also said that the situation created in various parts of the country including Jantar Mantar should not be exploited by any anti-national element, hence he considered it appropriate to resign. According to him, the unity of the country and the future of the students are above any political or legal dispute.
